Two hundred years after schoolboy William Webb Ellis invented the game at Rugby School in Warwickshire, the 10th edition of the Rugby World Cup kicks off in Paris, France.
A total of 20 nations will play 48 matches in ten stadiums across France, kicking off on 8 September in the Stade de France, and finishing on the 28 October 2023 in the same venue.
South Africa are the defending champions, having won in 2019, while New Zealand, Ireland and France make up the rest of the bookies favourites.
