Primavera Sound Announce 2025 Line Up

It’s raining and miserable in Barcelona today, but shimmering on the underside of the bank of grey clouds is a silver lining… in the form of the Primavera 2025 Line Up reveal, which went live this weekend. Safe to say, there’s a lot of girl power booked in for Barcelona in the coming year!

Reflecting the current musical landscape, and reinforcing their commitment to ‘the New Normal’ of booking 50% female artists for the roster, Primavera Sound have announced a ‘Holy Trinity’ of female superstars as headliners, in the form of Charli XCX, Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter. It certainly feels like a shot of Espresso in the bloodstream of a festival more famous for handing the big stages over to rock and indie acts.

Not that rockers need fear missing out. IDLES, Fontaines DC, Haim, Wet Leg, Parcels, Kim Deal, Turnstile and TV on the Radio are all coming to Catalunya in 2025, as are genre-bending acts like LCD Soundsystem, Caribou and Jamie XX. So jumping around in a hot mess at the front of the stage is still a given.

Beyond the realms of pop and rock, flying somewhat under the radar, the likes of Joy Orbison, Jon Talabot, Paul Kalkbrenner and the legendary Armand Van Helden will be keeping feet tapping, hands waving and booties bopping in the Boiler Room and other dance music stages around the festival.

That’s just a soupçon of the full menu on offer, so check out the graphic below for the full line up (with more acts likely to be announced!).

Tickets are on sale now for €295 for the full festival pass, although Revolut customers can take advantage of a discount price of just €265.

If you’re coming from abroad, I would also recommend booking your flights and accommodation with plenty of time to spare, as prices do hike considerably as the festival dates grow nearer. The main festival takes place 5-7th June, with free concerts for ticket holders either side of it. More festival tips here.
