Donizetti
Italian cuisine as it should be
If you’ve been to every tapas bar in the city and need something lighter for tonight’s supper, fear not as Spain’s Mediterranean cousins have a strong representation in Barcelona… and few finer than this homely Italian restaurant in Eixample.
Fresh antipastis, homemade pasta and delicious risottos are the mainstay of Donizetti, an authentic eatery run by an Italian signor from Abruzzi. Don’t expect any Michelin stars here (you’ll be lucky if you get an English-speaking waiter!), just traditional Mediterranean cuisine as it should be. Their authentic approach has certainly won them plenty of fans and plaudits alike, they have won Tripadvisor Certificates of Excellence for several years in a row now, whilst you’ll be hard pressed to find anything on the menu priced over 15 or 20 euros.
Closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. Head to our restaurant directory for more dining options.
