Formatgeria la Seu
Say cheese...
Taking its name from Barcelona’s Cathedral, Formatgeria La Seu was Spain’s first ever specialist cheese store although, oddly enough, it is run by a Scotswoman, Katherine McLaughlin.
Senora McLaughlin has travelled the length and breadth of the country visiting Spanish farm houses and working hands on with cheese production, so she knows a decent slice of fermented milk when she tastes one.
In her boutique you’ll find no more than 25 carefully selected products kept at optimal temperatures in her state-of-the-art bodega. If you’re looking for an original Spanish souvenir then be sure to drop on by, or why not call in advance and arrange a cheese tasting? Que aproveche!
