Not only are these pedal-powered vehicles more environmentally friendly than their petrol-powered counterparts, but you can sit comfortably and enjoy the sunshine as you drive whilst your Funky Cyclist points out sights of interest and regales you with stories from Barcelona.

You can book either a simple taxi ride or full sightseeing tour in advance via their website, or else you can hail down a rickshaw around the Passeig de Colom area – where you’re just a short cycle to the beach. The cost is just 7 euros, per 15 mins, per person (max. 3 per rickshaw), discounts for longer tours. Funky Cycle can also cater for big groups and corporate events.
