Polaroid
Cult bar with an 80s theme
Your friends will be pleased if you lead them to this rather hip watering hole, hidden – as with most of the best bars in Barcelona – down a dark and desolate looking alley.
The name Polaroid hints at the 80s theme, explored in full by the bar’s superbly kitsch tribute decor. VHS tapes are glued to the wall, along with posters of all your favourite movies from Flashdance to Top Gun, and suspended above the toilets is a small bike before a huge moon, its basket loaded with none other E.T. himself.
With canas at one euro and a good-looking mix of locals and foreigners no wonder breathing space is at a premium. Still the cool factor makes Polaroid worth the crush.
