Sagardi BCN Gotic

Basque cuisine is famous for being outstanding even in Spain’s deliciously crowded culinary scene. The Sagardi restaurants serve some of the tastiest Basque food that you’ll find in Barcelona at four different locations – one in the Museu d’Historia de Catalunya, one just opposite the Picasso Museum, one in Diagonal Mar shopping centre and this one near Santa Maria del Mar church (which for some reason they’ve deigned to call Sagrada BCN Gotic, even though it’s in the El Born district!).

All of these lively restaurants feature a bustling pintxos bar where you simply pick up a plate and select some of the morsels that look the nicest to you. There’s always something freshly-prepared coming out of the kitchen, and sometimes you’ll be have to be quick to get the most tantalising dishes.

If you’ve never been to a Basque restaurant any of the Sagardi branches are a great place to start.
