Barcelona Stag Weekends

The best stag activities by day and night

By Duncan Rhodes Barcelona Life

What to do on a Barcelona stag party, from classic action-packed and adrenaline activities, like paintball and go-karting, to original ideas like beach games, boat parties, axe throwing and steak dinner with stripper.

Why Do It in Barcelona?

Looking for the perfect destination for your mate’s stag weekend? Congratulations! You’ve just struck gold. Barcelona offers absolutely everything a man could want from a wild weekend, including dusk ’til dawn nightlife, a grand sweep of beaches full of semi-naked girls, beautiful weatherfantastic foodgreat things to do, and the best football team on the planet – FC Barcelona – and their 99,000 seater stadium, Camp Nou.

Barcelona offers absolutely everything a man could want from a wild weekend.

Imagine you and your mates touching down at El Prat Airport (hint: you might be able to fly cheaper to Reus or Girona with Ryanair), to be greeted by the year-round Spanish sunshine, hopping in your taxi or private transfer to your plush central apartments, and then getting straight into things with some sangria and cervezas in one of the city’s legendary beach bars, as you ogle caramel-skinned beauties and get into the spirit of your weekend away! Life doesn’t get any better than this!

During the day there’s tonnes of stuff to do in Barcelona, and even if a game of beach volleyball and a swim in the Mediterranean doesn’t appeal, you can always wander around the different districts of the medieval Old Town, stopping off in laidback squares for some liquid refreshment and soaking up the vibe at a Spanish (or more precisely ‘Catalan’) pace.

High jinks at Barcelona’s Inflatable Games

More cultured stags might even want to check out the monumental architecture of Gaudi, such as La Sagrada Familia, or explore the Olympic Ring up on Montjuic mountain.

If it’s stag activities, adventure and adrenaline you’re after you won’t have to look far for inspiration and fresh ideas. Barcelona is full of specialist tour operators, and you can book top classic activities like paintballinggo-karting, sea kayaking, steak dinner with stripper or even Ferrari driving no sweat. Or of course take in a football match of either FC Barcelona, or RCD Espanyol (the city’s second team!). Both clubs offer stadium tours, which make a good alternative if you can’t get tickets for a game, or no one is playing during your visit.

New ideas crop up year after year… like inflatable games, axe throwing, sexy beer tasting, boat parties and gin tasting.

On top of the aforementioned distractions, new ideas crop up year after year just to keep groups like you entertained… check out our list of original activities, like inflatable games, axe throwing, sexy beer tasting, boat parties and gin tasting, further down on the page for some inspiration on how to stand out from the crowd.

Come night time and the real fun and parties begin. There’s no better way than kicking off a night in Barcelona with some traditional Spanish or Catalan cuisine, such as tapas – this is the kind of food that will put hairs on your cojones. It’s all meat, bread, and more meat, with barely a vitamin in sight.

After you’ve lined your stomachs then a pub crawl around the cool bars in the Gothic Quarter will get you in the mood, or – if you prefer – simply settle down into one of Barcelona’s many Irish pubs. Clubbing-wise, the venues around Placa Reial or the Port Olimpic are your best bets, but read our nightlife guide for more.

You may even want to sign up for a VIP nightlife tour, which will take a lot of the hassle out of guestlists, not to mention organising your moronic mates after they’ve overdosed on local-strength mojitos. Keep reading for all of our recommended activities by day and night.

Recommended Day Activities

We’ve already mentioned a few of the typical things you might want to get up to for your stag do, but here are a couple more original ideas specific to Barcelona.

1. Beach Games (€29 p.p.)

For some sun, sea and shenanigans it doesn’t get better than this option, where you are joined by a couple of lovely hostesses for a mix of both sporty and silly games such as beach volleyball, football, rounders, bat’n’ball, tug of war and more. At €29 p.p. it’s a great way to turn a spot of sunbathing into one of the highlights of your trip, and naturally it comes with a cool box of ice cold beers. Email info@barcelona-life.com for more details or to book. You’ll hear back within 1 working day.

2. Inflatable Games (€39 p.p.)

Exclusive to Barcelona, the Spanish Inflatable Games are a set of 10 challenging TV game show style obstacles and competitions sure to put you and your mates through their paces. Classic games like wipe out, gladiator podium fighting, sumo suit wrestling, swimming pool beam runs and more are all given a uniquely Spanish touch and take place in a spanking new activity centre just outside the city, complete with bar and BBQ facilities. A round of the games on offer takes 3.5 hrs and costs €39 p.p., whilst our partner’s ace team can also provide return transport to the city centre for an extra €18 p.p., or you can grab taxis. Check out this video for a preview, or email us on info@barcelona-life.com for more details.

3. Epic Boat Party (from €50 p.p.)

Take advantage of the Mediterranean sea by setting sail on this day-time boat party, which includes all the basic ingredients for happiness: paella, beer and girls in bikinis. There’s even a swim stop, where you can practice your bellyflops dives off starboard, before live music and DJs get the hips shaking as you cruise back to port. The party cost €69 and sets sails every Saturday afternoon during high season, although if you miss it, there’s the more laid-back Catamaran BBQ Party with more regular departures, and costs just €50 p.p. (but has maximum two beers).

The only place on the internet with independent advice on ALL Barcelona boat parties is our article right here. If you’re still confused, get in touch on info@barcelona-life.com and we’ll help get you on board.

4. Beer Tasting with Sexy Hostess! (€35 p.p.)

Beer and babes!? We’re really spoiling you with this one! Not only do you get to taste 7 delicious local beers (by the way Catalonia is one of the world’s leading artisan beer producers these days), but you get them served up by a sexy hostess wearing a classic dirndl (yeah you know the one, that German beerhall outfit you’ve always fantasised about!). In fact, your hostess is much more than a pretty face, she is a beer connoisseur who will lead you through the tastings with aplomb. If you’re looking for a crowd-pleasing activity that every stag party will enjoy, you just found it. The tasting last 2 hours, costs €35 p.p., with start times ranging between 11am and 7pm as you desire. Email us on info@barcelona-life.com to reserve.

More Beers Please…!

Here are two more ways to enjoy a few cervezas in BCN…

Rooftop Beer Tasting

No need to waggle your fingers in a sweaty bar in the hope of service… this Rooftop Beer Tasting event introduces you to 6 local craft beers, as you relax on a hip rooftop terrace, soaking up the vibes and the sunset as you sip your cervezas. Run by this cool company (scroll down for activity details), this event takes place every Thurs to Sun at 7pm for €45 p.p.. You can book online to enjoy the event with a mix of cool people. Or if you’re a large group (10+) get in touch on info@barcelona-life.com for a private tasting session.

Water Beer Bike

A new twist on the typical beer bike (which you can also book, check no. 19 on this list!), the Water Beer Bike is a new activity for 2024, and offers an affordable way to get on the water with a few tinnies. You can book the boat privately just for your group for €324, or smaller groups can join a shared tour for €25 per person. Reserve via Get Your Guide, who offer free cancellations.

5. Axe Throwing (€25 p.p.)

Channel your inner Ragnar Lothbrok during this test of skill and strength that will separate the mighty Viking warriors from the pathetic chicken farmers in your crew. For just €25 a head you’ll divide into small groups and take turns hurling your hatchet at the wooden targets. The closer to the bullseye the higher you score and obviously only those axes that bite count. We have a special deal here which means each participant gets a free Viking-style mead beer, while there’s also a prize for the deadliest thrower. Email us on info@barcelona-life.com to reserve.

6. Sea Kayaking Half Day Trip (€75 p.p.)

Grab an oar and prepare to paddle your way in a kayak over the emerald waters of the Mediterranean sea. You’ll navigate the breathtaking coastline of the Costa Brava (translation: wild coast!) with crystal clear waters, private beaches and coves. You’ll even paddle directly into the mouths of sea caves, where you can also go snorkelling. A great, hangover-busting, mix of adventure, exercise and scenery that you can’t do in many other cities, and my top recommendation if you’ll looking for something epic and memorable. The transport up the coast leaves at the very reasonable hour of noon (or 9am if you prefer), so no need to set the alarm. The day lasts 6 hours in total and costs €75 p.p. all in. You can book it online via Get Your Guide, or else email us and we’ll help get you booked in.

7. FC Barcelona Match Tickets!

If Barça happen to be playing when your group of guys are in town, it can be great fun to bag yourself some match tickets and watch the mighty blaugrana destroy whichever hapless opposition have the temerity to turn up to Camp Nou that week. You’re all but guaranteed goals, and Camp Nou is one of Europe’s most impressive stadiums (and with 99,000 seats its biggest!). The best place to buy tickets online is Ticket Compare, which compares prices on all other online vendors to find you the cheapest seats.

8. Camp Nou Stadium Tour (€28 p.p)

If your visit doesn’t coincide with a Barça game, fear not, you can still visit the stadium on the Camp Nou Experience tour and museum visit. For just €28 you get to visit the stands, player tunnels, away dressing room and press boxes, as well as a tour of the the FC Barcelona museum (one of the most popular museums in the whole of Spain) and check out the multimedia displays and gleaming trophy cabinets. If you want to walk in the footsteps of Messi, Ronaldinho, Maradonna and Cruyff you can’t miss it! You can buy tickets on Get Your Guide (free cancellation policy).

9. Private Bike Tour (from €35 p.p.)

Walking tours don’t tend to work well for restless groups of lads, but put your mates on a bike and they will be more than happy to pootle around town and take some photos of the sights, whilst getting the lowdown on the city from a savvy local guide. Steel Donkey Bicycle Tours are (in our opinion) the best provider in town, with a focus on the funky and the alternative attractions. They offer private 4-hour tours for just €35 per person, for groups of 8 people or more, and will gladly take you to a great bar overlooking the sea for a refreshing jug of sangria or mojito on the way home. You can also upgrade to an electric bike for just €10 more per person. Email info@barcelona-life.com for more.

Recommended Party / Night Activities

A good old-fashioned pub crawl is never a bad idea, but how about going the extra mile and signing up for one of the city’s most celebrated nights out… you’re not in Barcelona that often, so it pays to hire some local knowledge and get it right. Pasalo bien!

10. Booze Cruise (€55 p.p.)

Few things are more synonymous with an epic weekend in Barcelona than setting sail on a booze cruise. The Original Barcelona Boat Party is a raucous romp on the high seas that departs every Thurs, Fri and Sat evening during summer. If you prefer to sail by day, and enjoy a swim stop, there’s the Paella & Swim Party Boat we mentioned earlier in this article, and the more laidback Catamaran BBQ Boat. Follow the links to book online, or email us on info@barcelona-life.com and we’ll help you on board.

11. Steak Dinner with Stripper (€55 p.p.)

Fancy a lovely and delicious piece of rump for supper? And what about ordering a nice steak too? Turn the testosterone up to 11 on your stag do with this red blooded evening activity that is sure to get the mouth watering. The action takes place in a high class restaurant with a private room booked for the “main dish”. The price of €55 p.p. includes steak dinner, first round of drinks, strip show, plus VIP entry into a club later at night. If any of your group is a vegetarian (no judgement!), there are also great veggie options for the meal. Email info@barcelona-life.com with any questions or to reserve your spots.

12. Raunchy Poker Night w/ Stripper (€85 p.p.)

We’ve pulled out all the aces for this late night poker session that will bring you out in a hot flush. Your cards will be shuffled and dealt by a very ‘talented’ topless croupier, while a second sexy hostess will be serving up some liquid refreshment as the chips fly around the table. This is poker Jim, but not as you know it! If you do lose all your cash in the game, the rather raunchy show that takes place at the end of activity, will be sure to perk you right up. The price is €85 per person, based on a min. of 10 people, and includes slap-up meal and your first beer on the house. The game takes place in a slick private venue. As always, email info@barcelona-life.com to get booking.

13. Boozy Bar Crawl (from €20 p.p.)

Experience the real Barcelona nightlife on a boozy bar crawl which will take you to several lively bars and hangouts in the downtown area, before getting you into a late night venue. There are several options to choose, starting from just €20 per person, which usually includes some free drinks, the expertise of your local nightlife guide and VIP entrance into one of the city’s best nightclubs. For extra shots on the no. 1 crawl book your tickets on this very page.

14. VIP Nightlife Tour (€54.95 p.p.)

This whirlwind tour of the city’s best nightlife venues is popular with señoritas, who put on their best frocks for the occasion, making this a great option for stag parties keen to mingle with the fairer sex. You’ll travel by coach around the city, for a glass of Cava on the mountains overlooking the whole of Barcelona, to dancing by the sea at the famous Opium beach club. As best man, you’ll appreciate the fact that the itinerary is a) great and b) already decided, so no annoying arguments… just drinking time! The cost is €54.95 per person, and that includes transport, several complimentary drinks and VIP club entry. Email us on info@barcelona-life.com with your dates and group size and you’ll hear back within 24 hours with full details.

15. VIP Limo Tour… with Stripper (from €55 p.p)

For those that want to enjoy in-house camaraderie, it doesn’t get more private than a magnum of Champagne inside a stretched limo… especially when one of Barcelona’s best-looking citizens is treating you to a close up view of something way more interesting than La Sagrada Familia. Once the show is over, your chauffeur will drop you at your club of choice, with VIP entry. The limo costs €440 (max. 8 people) or €660 (max. 12 people) for a one hour tour, with your choice of pick up point, VIP nightclub ticket and UNLIMITED drinks from the mini-bar. If you wish to add a clothes-shy entertainer, that’s another €165. Email info@barcelona-life.com with any questions or to make a reservation.

16. VIP Zone Tables (from €50 p.p.)

One sure way to get into the club is to lay down the dinero for a VIP table with bottle service, and in fact this is way cheaper than you think. Tables start at just €250 for five people, and that money is your minimum spend at most clubs (at others, you get a premium bottle of spirits and mixers). So as long as you were planning to spend 50 euros on booze anyway, you might as well enjoy fast-track entry into the clubs (queues can be long!). Not to mention that the VIP zones are usually where the hotties can be found hoping to mingle with big spenders such as yourselves. Get in touch on info@barcelona-life.com and we’ll be able to sort out VIP tables at the likes of Pacha, Shoko, CDLC, Sutton and Opium.

More Activities

We’ve found the best experiences and feedback to be for the activities already listed, but if you’re keen to part-take in a classic activity the following can also be arranged in Barcelona.

17. Paintball

This paintball experience is just a short ride away from the centre (about 45 minutes), making it the closest outdoor paintball arena to Barcelona. Engage in a series of shoot outs with your mates, in five different battlefields, each different to the other, as you compete to see which team is full of top guns, and which couldn’t hit a barn door at point blank range. Prices start at just €14 per person for 100 balls (about 30 mins of play), although best to factor in about €20-25 per head for transport. To organise everything email us on info@barcelona-life.com for more info.

18. Go Karting

A classic choice for any self-respecting stag party, we work with one of the best tracks in Spain, just 30 mins away from Barcelona city centre. Provided you have at least 8 people (or 10 at the weekends), you can rent the track exclusively for your group, from just €30 per person. You can check the full options in the image below, but the Mini Sprint race includes a 4 min qualification race followed by an 8 minute final race around the venue’s 500 metre asphalt track. You can upgrade for more and longer races, and add laser tag and bowling if you wish. Consider that transport to and from the will work out at around €20-30 per person. Email info@barcelona-life.com to organise.

19. Beer Bike

Jumping on board Barcelona’s Beer Bike is a memorable way to spend the afternoon with friends, but if you were hoping to make a spectacle of yourselves in front of the good citizens of Barcelona, think again. The Beer Bike actually runs along the banks of the River Besos (it’s not allowed to run in the crowded beachfront, where it takes up too much room), which is actually a pretty cool location with the advantage that you can make a complete ass of yourselves, and no one – except a few pic-nickers – will care. Transfers to the location are provided in the cost of €25 per person, and the 1 hour activity includes a litre of beer each to drink. You can book via Get Your Guide with free cancellation policy.

20. Bubble Football

If you’ve never tried this real life arcade game of a sport, then stop wasting time – book it now! You start by strapping a 5 ft. protective bubble over your head and torso and then basically run full pelt at your mates and knock them over like skittles (depending on who’s got the best momentum!). Somewhere in between there’s a real-sized football that you may or may not want to kick toward’s the opponents’ goal, during this epic game of human dodgems. At just €35 per person, this is about as much fun per euro as is possible anywhere in the world. Email info@barcelona-life.com with any questions or to reserve your spots.

    Hi Duncan,

Thank you for the great article.
We’re going to Barcelona last week of April for a Stag from Vancouver, Canada.
Could you recommend some nightclubs for VIP tables and daytime beach clubs?

    Thank you!
